About the Position

As an engineer, you will play a central role in supporting our testing operations while also contributing to ensuring capabilities for both national and international defense material. Based on the needs of the organization, you will be responsible for setting requirements for technical systems and participating in the work of lifecycle management (LCC) of the systems used in testing. The tests are conducted to verify and validate functional chains and technical interoperability within the command systems area.

By being a hub in the development of technical solutions and coordinating the development, operation, and management of the unit's systems, you will create effects and benefits for the Armed Forces. You will also support the work with security approvals of systems used during testing.

The position is located in Enköping, but several meetings will be held at other locations. Additionally, there may be a number of trips abroad, approximately eight weeks per year, to represent the department and gather knowledge.

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education (such as a civil or higher education engineer, systems scientist), or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as comparable. You have training in IT security and system design, experience in being responsible for technical system work, and knowledge of implementing network solutions. The position requires a B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have training in configuration management, requirements management, and requirements specification. Knowledge in systems engineering (SE) or integrated logistics support (ILS) is also beneficial. Experience in configuration management/LCC, information security, IT security, or systems security is desirable but not required.

Command support systems exist from soldiers and sailors to higher commands and between the Armed Forces' operational domains; land, sea, air, cyber, and space. Furthermore, the unit conducts validation and verification of systems that are interconnected in networks, which also occurs with other nations/organizations. The operations are conducted in project form with assignments from other parts of FMV, the Armed Forces, or other government agencies.
